The debut EP Voltron / The Defendant comes from none other than the top hat wearing, Desert Hearts Records Boss himself, Mikey Lion, along with our amazing friend and production extraordinaire, Jonjo Williams. The two met by chance one night while Jonjo was studying abroad in San Diego, and it was apparent the first time they sat down in the studio that Jonjo was the perfect Yin to Mikey's Yang. It's also perfectly fitting that the first track, Voltron, is a tribute to Mikey's biggest musical influence, the Wu-Tang Clan. The 2nd track, The Defendant, weaves a tale from one of James Brown's most classic moments in history. These tunes have absolutely been rocking for us every time we've played them and we can't wait to share them with all of you!
